Not only do we offer extravagant cakes but also other fine pastries such as beautiful decorated cookies and french pastries. Its as simple as dreaming it up and having it come to life!
Stephanie Dobos, the owner and pastry chef of Sugar 'N Spice Patisserie is a graduate from Texas Culinary Academy in the Patisserie/Baking program. Raised in the small town of Brenham, Texas Stephanie graduated from high school in 2005 with honors and then attending Blinn and Austin Community College to learn business and marketing. Stephanie has been baking ever since she was a child helping her mother, Linda, around the kitchen and making a mess. Inspired through her mother and her desire to be creative Stephanie decided to focus on cake decorating and and cookie decorating and has developed a unique art through pastries. She started as a cookie decorator for Quacks 43rd Street Bakery in Austin, Texas where she did her externship for school. She then moved onto The Mansion at Judge's Hill in downtown Austin, Texas as the assistant pastry chef. With the knack of design and love of coming up with new patterns and she then moved onto the award winning Lily's Cookies in San Antonio, Texas as a decorator. Special thanks goes out to her parents, Linda and Judson Hall, because without them she would never be where she is today. Thanks to Zachary Alexander for always believing in her and cleaning dishes after she blew up the kitchen with flour and sugar. Ben Mund for putting up with her messes and allowing his kitchen to be her play place for new ideas and works of art, and Aaron Kutra, Farra Jenkins, and Erik Tofte for putting up with it as well and being my guinea pigs. Many more amazing things will come from Stephanie and its a name that will be more and more recognized as the years come.
